I used the RAD PaintStrip to remove “old unknown” stain from treated lumber. It was very effective! My question is that there are areas where either, I got overzealous with the power-washer, or in fact, I’m not quite to the “wood” on the darker areas. Can you look at these photos and let me know what your recommendation is for “next step”? I’m not necessarily looking for more work to do but having said that, I want it to be “right”. ;-) We plan on using AC Semi-Solid Espresso stain.
Pics did not post.
Hopefully they post? (just a side note, when “logged” in the comment box doesn’t have the “link paperclip”?)
Those are pressure washer marks and they may show through the stain. You can test to see. If they do show, you would have to power sand to even those areas out.
Thanks for the prompt reply…like 60 grit, correct?
Yes.
After using RAD™ PAINTSTRIP PAINT & SOLID STAIN STRIPPING GEL, should I use cleaner or brightener before applying new stain? Thanks
No need.
