Upon reviewing Armstrong Clark Stain tests show this high solids pigmented finish contains both heavy and light bodied oils. The heavy oils offer water shedding properties while the light-bodied oils combined with solvents penetrate deep into the wood pores for maximum protection and conditioning. Armstrong Clark Stain can be used on old or new pressure treated wood surfaces such as shakes, siding, decks, fences, and log cabins. Basically, anywhere water repellency, color retention, and wood rejuvenation are desired Armstrong Clark Stain can help. Offered in 10 different colors, Armstrong Clark semi-transparent stain will naturally highlight the wood grain while enhancing its natural beauty.
This oil-based deck stain is a mixture of both drying and non-drying oils. This gives Armstrong Clark Stain two layers of protection all in one formula. The non-drying oils in the formula isolate from the drying oils. Armstrong Clark Stain’s non-drying oils penetrate into the wood cells to replace the wood’s lost natural oils. This rejuvenates and conditions the wood making it more flexible and pliable. As this happens, the drying oils remain on the wood’s surface and become dry to the touch. This not only forms a barrier of protection from UV and water but also locks in the non-drying oils so they can perform as expected.
The unique drying and non-drying oil blend of Armstrong Clark Stain is a high-tech innovation backed by 5 generations of coatings experience. The formula has only a slight linseed oil odor and can be applied in direct sunlight on a hot day without flash drying. One to two coats can be applied as needed. Armstrong Clark Stain can be applied using a brush, roller, stain pad, and a pump or airless sprayer. Tools must be cleaned with paint thinner or mineral spirits. Back brushing any excess stain will ensure a more even finish. Clean with a wood cleaner every 2-3 years and reapply as needed. Armstrong Clark Stain is an excellent stain with high scores in all categories. Use it to stain and protect your exterior surfaces with a professional grade finish that lasts.
