Wanted to know if you sell or will send out samples for me to try out on my mahogany porch scraps. There's no wayI would buy a stain without first being able to see how it will look on the wood i have.

    Bruce Lowrey:
    Hello Armstrong Clark.

I am treating two-year old pressure-treated 5/4 pine decking, which has not been sealed since it was installed in the summer of 2014.

I am interested in the preservation of the wood more than anything else, unlike a stain or coloring. I don't care if the wood is graying. I have an all cypress exterior on the house which is also naturally gray after weathering for twenty years.

What product(s)do you recommend for this deck application, specifically, the decking and top rails. Spindles are fine as they are. I have approximately 2000 s.f. to 2500 s.f. to cover.

What is the purpose of the Restore A Deck Kits? Again - I don't care at all how the deck looks. I only want the deck to last as long as possible with the least amount of work.

    I appreciate your response

I am ready to order as soon as I know what to buy and how much.

    Thanks,

    Bruce Lowrey

RAD Kits are for prepping and you always have to prep before applying. You cannot apply a deck stain without proper prep. Use the Kits for the prep. You will need about 3-4 of them. For the stain, look at Natural. It is lightly tinted. About 3-4 of the 5 gallons pails.

I am looking to stain a red cedar deck railing and cap. I would like a transparent or semi transparent stain for this. do you have a dealer in the Seattle area or north. Also do you have a solid stain in forrest green

AC does not come in solid stains. We personally do not have a dealer there. We can ship to you and also have samples on the site for testing colors.
